The Liquor Store-J.Crew

The J.Crew Men's shop, The Liquor Store
The Tribeca tavern located in a landmark 1825 townhouse.

Same location on March 4th, 2011- now a Men's J.Crew shop
Located at 235 West Broadway NY NY

The original wood bar is still intact.
Make sure you look behind the bar for vintagey decor details.

This sign is beautiful
Store Hours- looks like it was done with chalk but maybe its just a white marker.

If you haven't been in here, man or women... you should go...
It's such a peaceful and beautiful store. The overall feeling of the store and in the store is phenomenal. I wish I had more excuses to go there. Maybe one day they will integrate women's clothing into the shop.

The Romantics-the film

The Romantics with Katie Holmes, Josh Duhamel, Anna Paquin, Malin Akerman, Adam Brody, Candice Bergen, and Elijah Wood.
Best friends that are in love. But he's marrying someone else. She is the maid of honor.
The tag line.. nothing complicates friendship like love.

This looks like love (above), But, this feels like love (below).

My favorite part is that J.Crew provided the wardrobe!! These are some of the promo images.

Buy the movie today, right on time for Valentine's Day!

Vacation Question #101

THE QUESTION:
Hey, Style Diva!

I just wanted to ask you something. I am going on vacation with my boyfriend in 3-4 days from today (yess!) :D and every time I think about what to wear, I draw a blank. I am tall, slim, with a good, boyish figure and long, black hair..my color is kinda fair..but i dunno what to wear.

Please advise .. thank you sooo much...N (from India)

THE ANSWER:
Hello N (from India),

As soon as I got your email I had an idea on what to recommend. The one item that you MUST have before you go on vacation is a cotton empire waist dress. In essence, it will balance your figure out by cinching you at the upper torso (the smallest part of your body) and the rest will be flowing away from the body. The best part of the cotton empire waist is that you can dress it up or down with your accessories. Wear the dress with metallic flats for the day and for the night time wear the dress with peep toe wedges or platform heels, and don't forget to pack a clutch, it will come in handy.

I also thought out a second outfit that is on the funky-creative side. I have included my utmost favorite capri jeans (I bought these and adore them) and I like wearing them with any drapey top.

FYI....I know this green dress is not empire waist but I couldn't help it. I love this dress and color is superb.

Hope this helps and don't forget to take pictures...take care and have fun on your vacation.

The Little Black Party Dress

I went to J.Crew yesterday just to return an item that I realized I was not going to wear after having it in my closet for over a month. After I returned the jacket I proceeded to browse through all the sale items to see if I would find anything worth buying. I saw this dress and loved the cut of it but not the extra ruffle around my waist (don't want to bring any additional attn. to this area...)
In the picture, I found a solution to eliminating the extra ruffle problem, and now I am perfectly happy with wearing this dress to my Birthday celebration.
The total price of the dress was $53.00. The picture is not clear because I took it with my camera phone. The dress looks much better in person.
Let me know what you all think.

Ohh!! and I almost forgot.... Happy New Year and May all your Dreams come true!!
