Liz Claiborne-Isaac Mizrahi

The Liz Claiborne Isaac Mizrahi campaign is genius.  It's bold, colorful, down to earth and made for real women.  This is exactly what is wanted and needed by women all over the world, especially in an economic recession.  This is not the time to stare a bunch of unrealistically (don't think this is a word) thin models wearing stuff that you know is way too expensive and that in reality might not fit you the same.  (I, myself have stopped my magazine renewals). A campaign that showcases women of all ranges wearing clothes that are reasonably priced looking and feeling phenomenal, deserves "koodos" from the retail industry and from me too.

Go Isaac Mizrahi!!  You get 100% percent for creativity.  I was running on the treadmill when I saw a NYC bus pass by and the colors caught my attention.  Love it!!

Nili Lotan@ The Mercury Style Awards

I went to the Nili Lotan Fashion show on Monday Sept 10th. It was such a great experience. I got picked up by a beautiful Mercury Mariner and arrived early enough to meet a the bloggers of Shefinds.com, 55SecretStreet, and AllAboutthePretty, very kool people.

My feelings... During the show, I received a vibe from the collection of nostalgia, classic clean lines, and very sexy yet simple outfits. The colors were black, white/cream, red and blue and to me aside from very sexy it all screamed comfort.

Nili Lotan, prides herself in having 2o+ years as a designer, utilizing great fabrics while focusing on maintaining excellent quality.

When speaking to the designer, I learned that her inspiration came from remembering her mothers outfits when she was a little girl, for this reason she did admit that the collection held a nostalgic feeling for her.

What future projects does Nili Lotan have, I asked? She has a boutique in Tribeca and she is looking to open another one somewhere uptown (details to be determined).

(Above) The items I would love to buy. The print on this first dress is so fresh and new, to me it feels rock-starish and hippy at the same time. The second dress is carefree and sexy, it's something that I would wear while in vacation for a stroll on the beach. The third outfit is fabulously put together and I would wear this to work because it's business chic.

P.S. The trousers looked so comfortable that I wanted to touch them right there and then.
