A Day to Support

I am a huge supporter of cancer research, because cancer has been in my life always. As a kid I found out that my dad's mom (my sweet grandmother) had survived breast cancer, twice. I don't remember how old I was when my mom told me, but I was old enough to know that it was bad and it meant that if you had cancer you were sick and in the hospital. But when I saw my grandmother she looked fine and she looked strong. God Bless for early detection. She still looks this way now.

In an effort to support cancer research; I am forever on the lookout of items that I can purchase that will raise awareness, and help find a cure. L'Oreal in conjunction with The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) have created "the color of hope bracelet". It is a beautiful bracelet with a silk cord centered by a silver letter "o". The bracelet comes with a silver chain to place on your neck once the silk cord has outlived its usefulness. In order to buy the bracelet, the L'Oreal website (http://www.lorealparisusa.com/frames.asp#whw/ocrf.asp) will send you to www.netaya.com

The price at www.netaya.com is $12.95, a total of $4.00 will benefit the OCRF, the leading non-profit organization for ovarian cancer.
