Halloween is a real Holiday for me...

Halloween is one of my favorite days of the year. You get to be whoever you want to be and be really silly about it. This year I announced to everyone that I would be Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. One of my favorite stories ever... But you may be wondering...What does this have to do with Style? Ahhhh... my friends... as much as I wanted to be Dorothy, I was not willing to look frumpy in order to fulfill my dreams. The Dorothy outfit was ill-fitting and just made me look like a sack of potatoes. I tried on a Mummy outfit and a Geisha outfit but none of them spoke to me. They were all too tight or giving me an ackward body shape. But, Snow White just made me feel so cute and magical, even though I have never been a fan of Disney. The magical feeling came from the shape of the costume; the big sleeves, the cape (the cape gives me a hero feeling), the cinching at the waist and the a-line bottom. I am in the process of trying to make the skirt short to see what it looks like. Hopefully, I can do that tonight and post tomorrow a picture with the shorter version of the skirt. I will just tuck it in, to make it look like a bubble skirt. What do you think?

Yeah, good idea, you could tuck the skirt in to create a bubble effect, that way, you'll be in perfect costume attire, yet, fashionable and trendy, teehee...

Bubble Skirt is a great idea. So I will NOT be fashionable this year for Haloween. My boyfriend and I are seriously toying with the idea of going as Bert and Ernie. I get to be Ernie. Utterly adorable but a big fashion nono.
