Oh Val! Nine West

I like this shoe and I don't all at the same time. Add the fact that the shoe costs $199 from the Boutique 9 collection at Nine West (named Val). I think this is too much money but it's something about this caged shoe with a big bow in my ankles that says "buy me and do whatever you need to do to take me home".

I need help....

The Genuis-Madonna

I think it's a genius marketing tactic to have Lourdes, Madonna's daughter blog about her mothers upcoming line, Material Girl Collection. It also feels like her 13 year old daughter is being pimped. Nevertheless, Madonna reinvents herself by all means necessary. I respect her for that... She's the first person to have done it. You just wait and see now, Shiloh will be blogging about Angelina Jolie's movie Salt in the next 3 days (bad joke).

A few things... Lourdes AKA Lola as she calls herself is hella cute. She has a unique perspective, a voice as a writer and overall an intriguing personality. It made me wanna read it and at the end of the day that's all that counts.

Kudos to Madonna, Lola and that awesome marketing team.

Do you agree or disagree?

Purchases...

Spotted... Enid making some purchases....
I want this top in every color but I started with the white one. I bought this one at New York & Co.
Joe's jeans are so comfortable and they fit me well= win/win situation.

Colorful heels for Spring. I can't do black shoes when it's nice and sunny outside.

Any Feedback??

Lusting Over...

I have to say it. In this economy I am not shopping for anything. My thinking process goes a bit like this. "Enid, you have alot of stuff, you don't have space for all your stuff, save that money for some other stuff..." However, I have one item in my heart and mind that I can not shake out.

It is a shoe from NINE WEST, Jezebelle. The cost of the shoe is $129.00, which is a bit expensive for a NINE WEST shoe, if you ask me. Therefore, I have been waiting for the price to drop for a month now with no avail.

It comes in other colors and in suede. I'm in love with the metallic. I envision these shoes with white capri pants to wear this summer.

AHHH!! Trust me, this lust will one day turn into love and the shoes will be mine.

"She's beautiful, and therefore to be wooed..." William Shakespeare
Shoe WOO, The Store.

I went to Menlo Park Mall yesterday, March 2nd on the snow day.  A friend of mine, Karina suggested I check this place out.  I love the vibe in this store.  Reasonable prices and brands that are loved Nine West, Bandolino, Enzo Angolini, Joan & David, Sam & Libby, and Boutique 9.  It looks like a closet full of shoes.  It's shoe heaven. Shoe WOO!!!

H&M Roberto Cavalli

The day was here and the moment has passed. The H&M Roberto Cavalli entire collection was revealed to the public yesterday.
In the past H&M would keep a preview of their featured designer under tight wraps. But, for the last 2 weeks I have passed by H&M and have seen the window with a sneak preview of the collection. I thought the window looked really neat with its safari/jungle theme. I should have taken a picture, but it totally slipped my mind.
This picture below I found in the web... looks nothing like what I have seen...It might be the window that is currently on display. The question now is... Did H&M's product development team order enough for all of us that didn't want to be trampled on November 8th, 2007?
I will go to H&M today and find out.

B-Day's are important...

Hey!! I just got back from The Bahamas. It was a great vacation and I'm glad to be back. All I can say is that everyone should visit The Bahamas at least once in there lifetime. But, enough about that....
One of my very good friends sent me this email.

Hi E.P., Can you help me?

For my Birthday outfit this year I want to wear something different. I want to step out of my comfort zone a little bit. My goal is to find a trendy combination complete with accessories.

I love all the new baby doll/ruffle type shirts that are very fashionable now and would like to go that route. The most important thing for me is being comfortable. My budget is $200.00 USD.
I called her up and we determined that we wanted to try shorts and colored shoes. We bought the shoes first one weekend while hanging out on the town. Then we made a shopping date. I had previously spotted shorts at Club Monaco ($69). So I took her there first. My initial reaction was to get white shorts but we tried on all colors. The light grey was a perfect match.
At the end of the shopping day we came up with these 2 outfits (below). The white top is from H&M ($19.90)and the grey top is from Armani Exchange ($59). The grey shirt was very cute but needed tailoring because it looked a bit pj-ish. The white top had the comfort feel with the a summer flowy twist we were looking for, so we went with the H&M top right away.
Because of my schedule, she was all alone on the accessories. I told her I envisioned a thin blueish long necklace and wooden bangles. She did great. She found these accessories at Laila Rowe ($35). I didn't agree on this necklace (above).

This was her comment after the party....

"I think I found the perfect look (picture above at the party) while still being ME – comfortable and sexy!”... I agree!! :-)

P.S. It was all done within the budget.

Which shoe should my friend keep?

My friends send me text messages asking me for advice. This is just one of them.

QUESTION: Ms. C asked...Which shoe do u like better??

ANSWER: It's the Summer, and in my opinion, it's too hot to cover your toes. I would rather exhibit my new pedicure and have my feet look a little sexy with strappy wedges.
What do you all think?

The RED Hoodie

This hoodie is from the Gap (PRODUCT) RED collection. (PRODUCT) RED is about making a difference in Africa. Half of the profits from the hoodie benefit the global fund, to help women and children with AIDS in Africa.

My Experience with the hoodie: I must tell you that it's super comfortable and has become one of my favorite items of clothing. I will be buying it in other colors in the near future. So, stay tuned...

What go me to the Hoodie?? Marketing is everything for me. I loved this ad and wanted to look as sexy as the models below.
Gap (PRODUCT) RED slub hoodie

AT THE END, I don't think I look as sexy but I definitely look happy.

Gap Shoes received

I am so excited!!! I have received my Gap shoes. I will definitely keep the brown shoe (pictures below).
I am not completely sure about the other pair. It's actually not a grey color, like I thought it was. It's more like a greyish purple.

The canvas brown shoe. It's a keeper.

The purple greyish shoe. What do you think??

Iggi @ Bugis Street

So one day I told my friend JJ from The-Quotable.Com that I was going to Singapore and the first words out of his mouth were "Oh that's tight!!...Bring me a t-shirt". I graciously agreed since I AM The AllAbout-Style girl, I didn't think that it would be that difficult to find a t-shirt in Singapore. But, I searched high and low and finally ended @ Bugis Street, where there were many t-shirt selections. Some t-shirts had the very usual cheesy "Singapore" written on them, others had a disco vibe, other stores had a UK vibe, none appealing enough to me. There are so many stores at Bugis Street, that I don't think I searched every where but 3/4 of the way through I found this store with a very friendly person in it, Iggi. The design of the t-shirt seemed just perfect for JJ and very different from anything I have ever seen before. I wanted to be sure that JJ liked it, so I took a picture (images attached) and asked for JJ's approval.... When JJ answered back why he liked the t-shirt in this manner "yeah, I like it, because it's west meets east, the old world mixed with the new world...."
I knew at that point that he understood why I liked the t-shirt. I got him a black on gold detailed t-shirt (picture of JJ with T-shirt coming soon). It's a cuture coalition.

TOP SHOP in Singapore...lah

I did not find any clothes in Singapore that I couldn't already find in the USA. There was only one store that I felt had nice clothes at a descent price and was on the same level of H&M. The clothes in TOP SHOP were very fashion forward. I bought this dress for $50 USD.
What I like about the dress:
1. The color of the dress flatters my complexion.
2. The criss-cross action creates a beautiful slim silhouette and creates visual interest to my chest area.
3. The length of the dress is just right. 4. The short sleeves make it possible for me to wear the dress during the summer and during winter with a sweater.
5. The skirt moves away from my hips creating a nice A-line silhouette.

It's Target and I like it...

I went to Target this past weekend. I guess it's becoming a monthly ritual. I just have to love that place. I'm not left with another choice but to love it. Everything I get is usually well under $30 dollars and for tops, it's the best way to quickly spice up your wardrobe. This fall I'm in love with blacks and greys and every other neutral with my main primary color being red. I don't think that I actually had to say that because I am sure you can tell from the pieces that I feature exactly what I'm in love with right now.
Here are my 4 October picks from Target:
This fall everyone must have...
1. A henley: I got one in a basic grey color. You can get it in any color as long as it is thin enough to layer with a cami underneath or you can just wear it alone. This particular one feels so soft on my skin. I love it.
2. A long sweater: One with a beautiful scoopneck. I originally picked up this sweater in red but I couldn't do it. I went back to the racks and picked up the striped grey and black sweater. I can't wait to wear it with my jeans. I think showing your collarbone is sexy. I would also layer this sweater with a boat neck long sleeved top in a teal color.
3. The long cardigan: I could see myself using this very light cardigan for Fall with a nice colored scarf. I have scarves in almost every color imaginable. I'm usually in a rush, so I just pick one and go. As long as the scarf has color it makes me feel happy.
4. The cropped bell sleeved jacket: There is only one reason why I got this jacket; and that is to wear it with a white t-shirt and leather boots. The simplicity of the outfit is so modern in my eyes. However, I still have my doubts about this jacket. So now I would like to know what your thoughts are on the jacket? What do you think?
